On Tuesday Lily Allen posted a cryptic picture on her Instagram profile. Wearing only a towel over her head, a bangle and an engagement ring. Rumours are rife that she and David Harbour are now engaged.
Let’s have a deeper look into the ring and see what we can tell you about that ring.
It is difficult to see clearly but we have enough to give you some idea of what the ring looks like and further details about it’s estimated carat size and estimated cost. The ring is a classic diamond shoulder diamond engagement ring, set with a round brilliant cut diamond which is approximately 1.20ct in size.
In fact, we are fairly sure Lily Allen’s ring is very similar to our Silvie engagement ring.
But the question I'm sure that may be on peoples minds; how much did David Harbour pay for the ring? Based on our estimation assuming the correct diamond size and style of ring; we think David would’ve paid somewhere in the region of £18,000.
Main Diamond: 1.20ct Round Diamond
Style: Diamond Shoulder Solitaire
Retail price: £18,000.
We are fairly sure the centre diamond is held by four prongs and the diamonds along the shoulder set in a micro claw setting style. When done well, all you can see is a river of diamonds going down the band.
Wedding ring options: The setting is comfortably high enough tho allow a wedding ring to sit close to the engagement ring. Lily has a few options, but in our opinion, the ring would look best with either a plain 2.5mm wedding band or a diamond wedding band like our Mia diamond wedding ring.
What we would really like to know is how David proposed during the lockdown. We Would love to hear from other couples who have recently got engaged during the lockdown and hear how your proposal went.
